Biography

Professor YE Guohui is a doctoral student instructor and Head of the Composition Department in Shanghai Conservatory of Music. He is among the "Four Batches" of talents selected by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, and special professor of “Yangtze River Scholars" selected by the Ministry of Education in 2016. YE's major works include Late Autumn for Orchestra, Music from Tang Court, China Overture, Overlooking my Chinese Mainland, Drinking Wine by the Stream's Choice, Sunset in Yangguan, Impression on the Peking Opera, Picture of Dancing Dragon, The Prayers Come From the Jungles, To Mozart, Mu Jiang Yin, Listen Again to the Jiangnan, etc. His composition focuses on the multifaceted interpretation and dissemination of Chinese elements in the global intercultural context, which is widely acclaimed and influential.
