Biography

Born in 1988 (Argentina). Degree in musical composition by
Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (Argentina), currently doing a
master degree at Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et
Danse de Paris under the guidance of Stefano Gervasoni.
His work was supported by severals prestigious foundations since
2012: Fondo Nacional de las Artes (National founds for the arts,
Argentine) in 2012, Académie de France à Madrid in 2013,
Ibermusicas in 2015, Fondation de France in 2016 and 2017,
Fondation Meyer in 2017-18.
Uberto was composer in residence at Casa de Velázquez (Madrid)
in 2014, and in Music Music Portugal (Lisbon) in 2015.
Awarded in 1° concurso de composición para banda sinfónica
Teodoro el Cholo Castro (1st composition contest for symphonic
wind band “Teodoro el Cholo Castro”) 2011, “Juan Carlos Paz”
composition contest by Fondo Nacional de las Artes (National
Founds for the Arts) 2012, “La máquina de tiempo” by Centro
Cultural España-Córdoba (The time machine by Cultural Center
of Spain in Córdoba) 2013. Fondation de France, composition
prize « Macari Le Peuve » in 2016, and the X composition
competition « Francisco Escudero » in 2017.
Francisco Uberto was selected for the Cursus d’informatique musical de l’Irma for 2018-2019. He is now
living and working in Paris since 2016.
