Quinteros, Juan Manuel 




Juan Manuel Quinteros (1982 - )
Born in Santiago de Chile, with a childhood always surrounded by instruments and musical activity at home. At the age of 9 he began his formal study of theory, percussion and chamber music, simultaneously taking electric stylistic guitar lessons. Some time after, entering the Conservatory of the University of Chile, at which has studied with Cirilo Vila, Miguel Letelier, Jorge Pepi Alos, and where he graduated in composition with highest marks, getting 1st place in his class. Alongside with his University studies, he take acoustic of sound and audio edition lessons. He has participated as active student in various courses, seminars and master class in composition. Besides, he has been invited, received awards and honorable mentions as composer inside and outside the country. He has also produced records of popular music and collaborates with various folk performances.
He has composed and premiered music for diverse types of instrumental groups, traditional instruments and electronics, chamber and orchestral music, multimedia installations, television and documentaries. In 2011 he settles in Italy. Actually he works in diverse commissions, and is finalizing his master in composition project.
