Qin, Wenchen 




Wenchen Qin is a professor of composition at Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing and a distinguished professor at China Conservatory of Music.

Qin is one of the most influential composers in China at present. He wrote commissioned works for many international music organizations including Deutsches Symphonie Orchester Berlin, Internationales Beethovenfest Bonn, Warsaw Autumn, Bayerischer Rundfunk and Shanghai Spring International Music Festival. His works were widely performed in the world by more than seventy well-known music ensembles in China and other countries including French Ensemble Intercontemporain, German Ensemble Recherche, French L'Ensemble Itineraire, Deutsches Symphonie Orchester Berlin, Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, The Ensemble Europeo Antidogma of Torino Italy, Tokyo City Symphony Orchestra, St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra Russia, Nieuw Ensemble Holland, Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, Ensemble Phoenix Basel, Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, Contemporary Music Ensemble Korea (CMEK), Polish Sinfonia Varsovia and almost all of the best Chinese ensembles. His compositions were disseminated through many important international musical organizations including Northern Deutch Radio (NDR), West Deutch Radio (WDR), Radio France, Swiss Radio, Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (RBB) and ORF-Radio, and were performed at quite a number of international music festivals.
