Biography

Ivana Kis was born in Zagreb, Croatia, in 1979.
She graduated composition at Zagreb Music Academy and did her Master's degree at Royal Conservatory in Den Haag, where she studied with Louis Andriessen, Gilius van Bergeijk and Diderik Haakma Wagenaar.
Kis’ compositions have been performed by many ensembles (ASKO, MAE, Cantus ensemble, Nederlands blaazers ensemble, Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, Croatian Television Symphonic Orchestra).
Last few years she was writing and performing several music theater pieces preformed in Holland and ballet production of Croatian National Theatre.
In her later pieces she is connecting music with stories and/or visual elements.
She lives and works in Israel.
