Biography

PhD. (All But Dissertation) JING Xu, lecturer of Sichuan Conservatory of Music, visiting scholar of University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, devotes to explore the new perspective between Chinese cultural aesthetics and western compositional technique and has made achievements in research of multi-structural musical composition paradigm and western traditional instrumentation of chamber music in contemporary musical context. His pieces have been awarded Outstanding Award of 17th Music from China International Composition Competition, Outstanding Award of 15th Chinese National Composition Competition and 2nd prize of 2014 Voice of China National Composition Competition which have been published by People's Music Publishing House and have been performed in America, Austria, S. Korea and China. He has cooperated with many extraordinary ensembles, including Chamber Orchestra of Columbia University, Ensemble Wiener Collage, Tokyo Ensemble Nomad and Ensemble of Sookmyung Women's University. He has completed a number of scientific studies, has published a monograph Probe into Chen Qigang’s Concerti.
